Privacy

I collect only what you send me, and only to reply to you.

This is RE WEBFOLIO, the portfolio of Rennan Garcia, an independent designer and developer in Lisbon, Portugal. It exists to show my work and for anyone who wants to talk to me. It uses no analytics, builds no visitor profiles and sells no data. The controller of personal data is me, Rennan Garcia, reachable at contact@rewebfolio.com or on WhatsApp at +351 910 517 069.

In short

Like any website, my hosting provider’s server automatically logs each technical request: IP address, date and time, page requested and browser type. These logs are used to deliver pages, keep the site secure and diagnose faults. I do not use them to identify visitors or combine them with other data. They are kept for the short period set by the hosting provider. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the site working and secure (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The message composer

At the end of the page you can write me a message. While you type, the text stays only in your browser. If you choose “WhatsApp” or “Email”, the site opens that app with the text already written and neither stores nor sends it: the message only reaches me if you press send inside it, and from then on the terms and privacy policy of the service you chose also apply, WhatsApp (Meta) or your email provider.

“Send from the site”

If you choose “Send from the site”, the request goes to my server and is stored in a database: your name, the reply method you chose (email, WhatsApp or phone) and the matching contact, the topic, the business, the message, the date, the page it came from and the browser type. I only do this with your consent, given in the box you tick before sending (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and only to reply to you. If you give an email address, I send you a message to confirm it is yours. To stop abuse, I keep a salted, non-reversible cryptographic hash of the IP address for 10 minutes; the address itself is not stored. You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to me.

This submission is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a spam-protection service by Cloudflare, Inc. It is only loaded when you choose “Send from the site”. To tell people from automated programs, it analyses technical signals of the request, such as the IP address and browser characteristics, without advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare processes this data under its own privacy policy and may transfer it outside the European Union with the safeguards provided for in the GDPR. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in protecting the form against abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

When you write to me

Whichever way you choose, I use the data only to reply and, if the project goes ahead, to prepare a proposal. By WhatsApp or email, I receive what you choose to share (usually your name, number or address, and the message); the legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and my legitimate interest in replying (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). I keep the conversation and requests sent from the site while the conversation is active and for up to 24 months afterwards, so I can pick up an earlier contact; then they are deleted. If it leads to a contract, invoicing records are kept for the period required by tax law. I do not sell or share this data, except with the technical services that carry or host it (hosting and email providers, WhatsApp, Cloudflare).

What stays on your device

The three interactive demos (Site, Platform and Automation) keep their state in your own browser. By default they use session storage (sessionStorage), which is cleared when you close the tab. Only if you accept in the privacy bar do they use local storage (localStorage), so they pick up where you left them on your next visit: the keys v2.demo.site, v2.demo.plataforma, v2.demo.automacao and v2.demo.last. Your choice is kept in the key rw.privacidade, which is strictly necessary to respect it. You can change your mind at any time under “Privacy preferences” in the footer: if you decline, the demo keys are deleted. None of this leaves your device.

Cookies

This site’s code sets no cookies. The hosting provider and Cloudflare Turnstile (only when you choose “Send from the site”) may use strictly necessary technical elements for security, for example to block abusive automated traffic. They are not used for advertising or to track your browsing, so they do not require consent.

Links to other services

The site links to WhatsApp, Instagram and the Portuguese electronic Complaints Book. They only open if you click them. From then on, each service’s own privacy policy applies, which I do not control.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access to the data I hold about you, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interest. Just write to contact@rewebfolio.com. I reply within one month. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD) at www.cnpd.pt.

Changes to this policy

If the site changes how it handles data, I update this page before the change takes effect and show the new date below.
